SUMMARY:Gender Goggles by Jill Eaton
DESCRIPTION:Have you ever left a meeting a work frustrated and wondering why it’s so hard to get your points across? Do you feel like others are operating by a set of rules that you haven’t figured out? Have you ever wondered if men and women really do communicate differently? \n\n\n\nWe all see the world through unique lenses. When it comes to gender\, there is a spectrum of behavior. At one end of the spectrum is traditional male behavior\, and at the other\, traditional female behavior. Every individual is unique\, and we are on different places on the gender spectrum. Our position on the gender spectrum influences our behavior and communication style. Gender is sometimes a controversial subject\, but it is important that we speak openly about it. Jill will share research\, with examples from her corporate and personal experiences\, and lead an interactive discussion about the ways gender impacts behavior and communication styles.

SUMMARY:Global Cloud and Security Solutions
DESCRIPTION:Who has your data? Latest trends in privacy and security.\n\n\n\nDo you know who currently has access to your\, customers’ and employees’ data?\n\n\n\nThe level of data collection by tech companies has reached a new peak! Consumers demand more control of their personal data and how it’s used and shared. They want the capability to validate their identity without revealing more than necessary. \n\n\n\nOn top of the consumer pressure ransomware payouts have increased significantly over the past 12 months\, as malware authors continue to innovate and cyber criminals outsource tasks to monetize operations more quickly. To compound this\, the Treasury Department recently warned that firms that negotiate with ransomware extortionists could face steep fines from the U.S. federal government if the crooks who profit from the attack are already under economic sanctions. \n\n\n\n5G will revolutionize the security landscape. As data continuously flows through potentially vulnerable 5G infrastructure\, more personal data will be exposed to attacks and ransomware. In order to combat new and emerging threats\, users and service providers need to prioritize security measures and build an ecosystem of trusted vendors. \n\n\n\nIn this session you will learn:\n\n\n\nHow data privacy is the key to your company’s success in 2021 and beyondWhat malware and cybercriminals are innovatingHow 5G networks will expose more data to potential attacksWhat you can do to stay protected

SUMMARY:Startup Grind Louisville w/ Kela Ivonye
DESCRIPTION:We are excited to have Kela Ivonye\, co-founder of Protege and an Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) for Amplify Louisville\, as our speaker for our November Fireside Chat. He is passionate about helping Black entrepreneurs succeed by connecting them with Super founders for mentorship and investment. You don’t want to miss this opportunity to hear Kela share his story and passion for helping people. \n\n\n\nMeet Kela\n\n\n\nKela works with the best talent in Louisville to assist them in creating and growing highly scalable startups\, with a focus on Black founders. He co-founded Protege\, a nonprofit and micro fund that helps Black entrepreneurs succeed by connecting them with Super founders for mentorship and investment. Kela works to cultivate community among black founders in Louisville through his quarterly Founder Social events sponsored by Amplify. Additionally\, Kela is an Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) for Amplify Louisville. He began his entrepreneurial journey by founding Arrow Food Couriers\, an on-demand delivery startup with a hyper-local focus. They used geo-spatial technology to divide cities into self-sufficient delivery districts\, reducing delivery time by over 40% compared to other couriers. Upon the sale of Arrow Food Couriers\, Kela used his logistics experience to launch MailHaven\, a smart\, curbside mailbox that secures packages for absent homeowners. The MailHaven provides value for everyone throughout the supply chain. MailHaven owners never have to sign for packages or worry about theft. Couriers delivering to a MailHaven never have to redeliver packages to that address and experience faster route times. In late 2019\, MailHaven was acquired by Luxer One\, a subsidiary of Assa Abloy ($ASSA).  Kela holds a BASc in Geographic Information Science and Cartography and dropped out of the Masters in Urban Planning from the University of Louisville.
